Since the story is told by the tree you find that he isn't really happy being inside and being decorated. It is hot and uncomfortable. But the story is enchanting. When in the city they ask some workers if they can sell their trees in that location. After a successful day they still have trees left. His dad gives them to the workers and they have one they set up right on the spot. Henry makes a paper star for the top of the tree and makes a wish for a real house for his family to live in. On Christmas morning the men from the city arrive to help make that wish come true. 
To say that I am delighted to have a pop-up picture book for Chanukah is putting it mildly. When Michael Rosen teamed up with Robert Sabuda to create this masterpiece I was so happy. It tells of the eight days in the Temple where Jewish freedom was sought. In each pop-up it celebrates miracles, from desert encampment to city skyscrapers. In each seen their is a window with the lights of the menorah.
