DOLDRUMS By: Nicholas GannonThe Doldrums is a story about three friends who come up with an impossible plan to go to Antarctica to save the grandparents that are famous explorers. The grandparents currently are stranded on a iceberg. The only problem is that the kids know nothing about Antarctica, for example they plan to eat ice. Plus the parents don't know their plan. Their teacher is ridiculously strict. For example as a punishment for having the hiccups a little boy had to scrape gum off the teachers desk. I would recommend this book to anyone who likes hysterically funny adventure stories. Greenwillow Publishers Ages 9 and up, $17.99. Reviewed by Ella, age 11.
