Most people think that eighteen is not old enough to go out in to London by herself, probably because this book takes place in the 19th century and she has not come out yet. Under more investigation by her allies ( a famous author and his friend)  she learns that her emerald has the power to change the world. I would not recommend this book to people who are expecting fantasy or adventure because this book is more about life in the olden days from a young girls point of view. Reviewed by Ella age 11.
